Liu Zongzhou was rich in Neo-Confucianism,and his achievements in poetry writing should not be overlooked.Combining with the background of Liu Zongzhou’s life in the late Ming Dynasty and his life experience,this paper makes a comprehensive study of more than 300 poems written by Liu Zongzhou.The first chapter mainly narrates Liu Zongzhou’s life,the poetry creation course and the poetry proposition.Liu Zongzhou to the last lordship said Lone,Cao Mang Lone Minister died to save the world,to promote benevolence for the mission.During his several years in office,he was relegated three times,but he did not abandon himself,on the contrary,he was more determined to learn,and finally gradually established the doctrine of sanctification.At the same time,Liu Zongzhou wrote more than 300 poems besides being an official in politics and giving lectures.Through his poetry creation,we can comb out his poetic aesthetic opinion of attaching importance to Taoism and despising literature,practicing traditional Confucian poetry and restraining literary creation with rites.The second chapter classifies Liu Zongzhou’s poetry according to the theme.Liu Zongzhou’s poems are rich in themes,which can be divided into four categories: poems chanting history and recalling antiquity,poems of travel and service,poems of appreciation and idyllic poems.These poems truly express Liu Zongzhou’s life situation,thoughts and feelings,such as his comprehension of history,his worry about politics,his love of nature,his missing for relatives and friends,his sadness for the passing of time and his attitude towards life.Liu Zongzhou embodied his unique emotional characteristics in his poems,no matter when he wrote the scenery or the lyrics.The third chapter discusses the Neo-Confucianism in Liu Zongzhou’s poetry.As a Neo-Confucianist,Liu Zongzhou incorporated Neo-Confucianism into his poems,such as strong introspection,pursuit of sages and exhortation,which made the poems one of his teaching tools.The Neo-Confucianism embodied in Liu Zongzhou’s poems makes his poems possess profound thoughts and lofty spirit.The fourth chapter analyzes Liu Zongzhou’s poetry from the artistic characteristic.In his poems,he likes to use repeated words and desolate images in language,cite talents as poems and use words as poems,show rich content and sincere emotion,and show high style and righteousness in his poems. |
