A Comparative Study Of "design" And "painting" In Contemporary Fiber Art

Under the influence of the art trend in the 1960 s,the traditional fiber art has gradually branched and changed,and the contemporary fiber art has gradually come into the public’s attention.Fiber art is no longer limited to tapestries and traditional handicrafts.In the creation process of contemporary fiber art works,fiber artists always look for breakthroughs in materials,constantly create new ideas,have a deeper understanding of the special texture expression and form application of materials,and create a unique fiber art language with formal beauty.Based on the interaction between "painting" and early fiber art,this paper first expounds the development background from traditional fiber art to contemporary,and then defines the "design" and "painting" of contemporary fiber art from the perspective of art space and commercial space.Here,the "designability" defined by the author refers to the design form,design thinking and design concept in contemporary fiber art design.Fiber material combines the design formal language of order,repetition and arrangement.In the combination and reconstruction,the works will present rich visual effects and tactile feelings."Painting" is the expression of the abstract form in the painting language in the creation.The abstract language formalizes the combination of the artist’s thoughts and emotions into symbols and symbolic meanings,which are conveyed to the external world,enriching the emotional expression of fiber art and causing emotional resonance.Later,taking the material expression and formal language of contemporary fiber art as an example,this paper analyzes the "design" and "painting" of contemporary fiber art,and discusses the interaction between them based on my graduation design work "rushes to",based on creating and displaying the formal language of modern fiber art with style.
