The Inspiration For My Seal Carving Art From The Study Of The Han Dynasty Bronze Inscriptions

As a unique branch of the development of bronze inscriptions,Han dynasty bronze inscriptions with their rich forms and script features have become an extremely important part of contemporary calligraphy and seal carving.The study of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions in this article focuses on inscriptions cast and chiseled on bronze products,including the comparisons between the writing style of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions,mirror inscriptions and Han dynasty bronze seals.From the aspects of the content and the characteristics of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions,the article discusses the linear,the script forms and chapter classification of Chinese inscriptions,and explores the different features and the inner connection of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions.In terms of creative practice,the author analyzes the influence of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions on her seal carving creation from two perspectives,the learning from the seal style and the innovation of the scripts on the side section,by sorting out her own learning experience.At the same time,she tried to infuse the stroke forms and structural forms of Han dynasty bronze inscriptions into her own creative activities by learning from the experience of Qing Dynasty sealers who sought for seals outside the printing of the seal,so as to transform the interest of carving into her own use and make seal engraving creation more ancient.
