This paper takes independent music youth subculture as the research object,observes the live house,one of the main channels of independent music dissemination,and studies the independent music youth subculture circle established by the live house through documentary research and in-depth interview method.In this study,the author analyzes the content,process,and audience groups of indie music youth subculture in the live house scene,and how the subcultural music groups achieve identity construction in the communication practice.In this study,based on the Birmingham School’s subculture theory and communication theory,and drawing on the relevant theoretical content of sociology,the author analyzes and studies the symbolic scene presented by live house,discusses the communication content of independent music subculture in the live house scene,analyzes the audience group of live house and the circle communication process of the audience,and finally explores the impact of new media on the subculture.Finally,we explore the impact of new media on the dissemination of indie music subculture and the development of indie music subculture in the new media context.This paper finds that the live house is not only a music venue,but also a symbol of indie subculture’s separation from mainstream music,strengthening the resistance to mainstream music and forming a unique live house culture in the indie subculture circle.In the new media context,the stylistic representation of subculture music is also changing,from confrontation to dialogue with mainstream values,and reshaping the relationship with mainstream music culture,but in the new media context and the era of consumer society,indie music subculture is not immune to the fate of being adopted by commerce,and indie music subculture is constantly searching for a balanced relationship with commercialism. |
