Research On Photographic Aesthetics In Georgia O’keefe’s Paintings

Since the emergence of photography,it has close connection with painting,which has also generated much influence on modernist painting creation and artistic concepts.By taking the analysis of O’Keefe’s paintings as the starting point of the research,the relationship between O’Keefe’s painting and photography will be explored,and the inspiration of the development of modern photography technology on her painting creation will also be studied.O’Keefe as a modernist painter is influenced by modern art concepts and photographic aesthetics in terms of her painting style.The coexistence feature of realism and abstraction is embodied in her works.In the meantime,she makes the combination of artistic creation with the local spirit.The urbanization process of American society also brings a lot of creative inspiration for O’Keefe.In this thesis,the photographic aesthetic characteristics of her paintings are explored by placing the artist in the social environment at that time,the relationship between photographic aesthetics and inner spirit in her works is also explored.The uniqueness of its style and the modern artistic value contained therein are found through the comparison with photography schools and other painting schools with photographic aesthetic tendency.
