"Narcissism" in psychological sense is a kind of psychological emotion reflection from "self" but different from "self".For artists,narcissism is an act of self-absorption and self-love.However,self-portrait is an expression of the artist’s personal situation and emotional experience,with strong desire for expression and narcissism.It can be said that the creation of self-portrait is inseparable from the "narcissism" complex.The author by collecting data and found that female artists self-portraits works more and more prominent love of their own,for self expression and attention to female’s ego,but,its research and development is very few,so this article analysis from the Angle to study the narcissism,female artists self-portraits,try to explore the cognition of female narcissism boundaries,And uses the expression form of heavy color technique to unfold narcissistic creation.This paper mainly takes the self-portrait works of representative female artists at home and abroad as the research object,and examines the narcissism of the author and tries to break out of their own limitations,which is applied in the author’s creation of Painters Jasmine.The thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter combs the origin and characteristics of narcissism in female self-portraits,from the definition of narcissism to the tracing of narcissistic factors in female self-portraits,from the analysis of the works of the excellent representative female artists,it is concluded that they all have a deep infatuation with self-image and a desire to further perfect themselves,but need to guard against the drawbacks of narcissism,in order to self-certification on the basis of the qualitative sublimation.The second chapter begins to examine the change of the author’s self-portrait thought from “Small self”to “Big self”,from his own artistic growth process to examine the works of female artists as a starting point,to achieve ideological sublimation,cognitive exploration.The third chapter is the self-portrait creation process of narcissism,from the conception,modeling,composition,color,techniques and other aspects of narcissism operation,bold attempt to break through the self.The Fourth Chapter is the self-portrait creation experience and the work display,analyzes the author in the creation insufficiency and explores the feminine Theme Future Creation Path new dimensions,the new directions.Through a series of theoretical analysis and practical operation,the author has successfully completed the creation of Painters Jasmine with strong narcissism complex by constructing the painting background with heavy-color technique and combining the fine brushwork with light-color depiction of the characters.From the description of the characters in the picture,we can see that the author is trying to break through the cognition of female narcissism,break through the limitation of self,and explore the new development of female consciousness in the new era.
