In the twentieth century, The Chinese heavy color painting language is still in process under the circumstance of the confliction and fusion of local traditional language and western modern language. This hybrid of this era experienced several different stages, such as introduction, absorbing the others, establishing its own image. Under the influence of the alien painting cultures, the traditional painting got its new interpretation and promote its new look. Meanwhile, its content and presentation became diverse. Several painters are the prominent representatives. Zhu Zhengeng is one of them. This article mainly focuses on Zhu Zhengeng impressionistic re-color art, And the author carries out the research on Zhu Zhengeng impressionistic re-color art mainly through a comparative analysis, formal analysis, literature analysis. The purpose of this study, to some extent, uncovers the development of contemporary impressionistic color in China.The first part of the paper explores the cause of Zhu Zhengeng’s heave color paintings. First is the background. After the longtime confinement, people have a great deal of curiosity and enthusiasm for all the foreign and opposed things. The painters want to break through the single art forms and pursuit expressions full of personality. And then are the personal reasons, which include the following aspects. The first, he learned from the western beauty of composition and form positively. The second, he absorbed the language of folk colors and the plastic arts extensively. And third, his works are full of freedom. Zhu Zhengeng’s strong personality affects his works a lot. The second part of the paper mainly talks about the characteristics of Zhu Zhengeng’s heavy color paintings in contemporary context. First, the main themes of his works are the folk tales and the city lives. Second, the picture constitutes. First of all, the exaggeration and distortion of the picture forms. Distortion does not mean ugly, and it cannot be abused. It means freedom, freedom and freedom in the condition of being pretty. The next is about the concreteness and abstraction of the images. Some of Zhu Zhengeng’s paintings are a combination of abstraction and concreteness. His paintings are harmonious, natural and full of tensile force. And then, it’s about the breakup and restructure of the painting components. He divided the prototype into several parts and reassembled them. The last two parts analyze and study the color composition and the screen texture rending.In conclusion, the impressionistic re-color art of Zhu Zhengeng exerts a positive and important impact on contemporary art.On one hand, Zhu zhengeng’s heavy color arts play a transitional role in the history of Chinese ink and color painting development. On the other hand, he has created a unique form of heavy color arts. His paintings also promoted the Chinese paintings’ contemporary transformation. The innovations and uniqueness of the whole article are as follows:First, when analyzing the freehand heavy color art features of Zhu Zhengeng, at the same time, the author unfolds her individual feelings to their work, and then analyzes the artistic characteristics of her own work from both the emotional and the rational aspects. Second, the article comprehensively analyzes the re-color art artistic features of Zhu Zhengeng in great details,from the perspectives of the formation of reasons, art features, as well as the significance and impact, which consequently makes up for the unilateral studies carried out by the previous researchers.
