Research On The Musical Language And Interpretation Of Liang Lei "Serashi Fragments"

Liang Lei（1972-）,a Chinese-American composer.Due to his cross-cultural background,his creations are rich in themes,connecting both China and the West.The string quartet " Serashi Fragments " was created in 2005.And it is one of Liang Lei’s most important works.This paper takes Liang Lei’s " Serashi Fragments " as the research object.Based on exploring its music language,different representative versions of performance are analyzed,in order to provide reference for relevant researchers and performers.This paper includes four chapters: the first chapter is an introduction,which clarifies the purpose and significance of the research;the second chapter expounds the creative background of " Serashi Fragments ",which provides the background text for Liang Lei’s creation;the third chapter discusses the musical elements and creative techniques,the use of materials and so on in order to analyze the musical language of " Serashi Fragments ";the fourth chapter Vmus,a visual music analysis software is used to compare various interpretations of " Serashi Fragments " performed by different quartet teams.The fifth chapter summarizes the full text.
