Ideological Confrontation:The Political View Of Yongzheng Emperor In The Debate Between Emperor And Prisoner ——An Investigation Centered On The Record Of "Awaken To The Grand Justice"

As the product of Emperor Yongzheng’s trial of Tseng Ching case against the Qing Dynasty,the content and form of "Awaken to the Grand Justice" are different from the historical books in the traditional sense.In terms of content,this book mainly records the refutation between Emperor Yongzheng,Lü Liu–liang and Tseng Ching.In form,this book records the content of the Refutation in the way of interrogation.Emperor Yongzheng issued such a "strange" book in order to explain his own ruling ideas and governance principles to the world.Thus,it proves that the anti Qingyan theory not only can not obtain sufficient support in theory,but also violates the objective reality of the rule of the Qing Dynasty.Emperor Yongzheng expressed his views in his book,which further conveyed the ruling significance of the Qing Dynasty,that is,the rule of the Qing Dynasty realized the vital expectations of the majority of the people all over the world,and the rulers of the Qing Dynasty played a role in calming social unrest and consolidating national stability,so as to achieve good governance.Yongzheng emperor’s political view is based on Yongzheng emperor’s understanding of the ruling regime.Therefore,this paper analyzes the political view of Emperor Yongzheng from the following four aspects.The first part mainly introduces the creative background and main content of "Awaken to the Grand Justice".The historical background of the "Awaken to the Grand Justice" is the content of the conversation recorded during the judgment when Emperor Yongzheng personally tried the Tseng Ching case.The book consists of four volumes,specifically composed of ten imperial edicts of Yongzheng emperor,47 interrogation speeches and Confessions of Tseng Ching,two Confessions of Zhang Xi and one "Guiren theory" by Tseng Ching.Emperor Yongzheng compiled it into a book and promulgated it all over the world,so as to clarify his political ideas and governing thoughts.The second part mainly introduces the political view of Emperor Yongzheng arguing with Lü Liu–liang in the "Awaken to the Grand Justice".In order to solve the theoretical dilemma faced by the rule of the Qing regime,Emperor Yongzheng demonstrated it from four aspects: first,the legitimate undertaking of the regime,and the monarch has virtue to inherit the destiny.The second is the requirement of monarchy,which is mainly divided into Chinese and foreign cultures.The third is the reasonable replacement of political power,which is beneficial to the people.The fourth is the manifestation of the rule of justice,which is not proved by the phenomenon of natural disasters,that is,the monarch’s virtue,Hua Yi,people-oriented and disasters.The third part mainly introduces the political view of morality embodied in Emperor Yongzheng’s argument against Tseng Ching in the "Awaken to the Grand Justice".In order to establish his positive imperial image,Emperor Yongzheng chose three aspects of "filial piety","propriety" and "benevolence" from the political thought constructed by Confucianism.These three aspects can not only reflect personal virtue,but also serve as the concept of governing the country.Therefore,Emperor Yongzheng always implemented the ruling ideas of "filial piety","courtesy" and "benevolence" in the process of ruling,so as to highlight his positive political image.The fourth part mainly introduces the characteristics of Yongzheng emperor’s political view in "Awaken to the Grand Justice".Through the analysis of the content of the debate between Yongzheng emperor and Lü and Tseng in "Awaken to the Grand Justice",we can conclude that Yongzheng emperor’s political view has three characteristics,namely,reality,development and compatibility.First of all,the reality is mainly reflected in the fact that Emperor Yongzheng often bases his debate on the objective facts of the rule of the Qing Dynasty.Only on the premise of recognizing this reality can we understand Yongzheng’s political view.Secondly,development means that Emperor Yongzheng often looked at political issues from a perspective beyond the times,and was able to add old ideas to new concepts and reinterpret them.Therefore,to a certain extent,it can reflect the characteristics of the times,even the characteristics of its national culture.Finally,compatibility means that there can be different cultural thoughts and political ideas in Yongzheng emperor’s political view at the same time.In the face of problems,they can use different ideas to explain.
