Realism narrative mode not only emphasizes respect for nature and truthfully reflect the original appearance of real life,but also requires creators to grasp things as a whole and conceptually and reflect their typical characteristics.Therefore,realism,as a bridge between works and viewers,has become an important way of expression in the creation of historical sculptures.Because realism has rich connotations and embodies different aesthetic pursuits in historical sculptures in different periods,it has strong research value.At first,this paper analyzes the arising and development of realism,and its definition and connotation in the different time background,then expounds the realism in the different periods of historical theme sculpture of narrative,in the form of work analysis parsing the value pursuit of realism,and analyses the differences and similarities between realism and naturalism,In the creation practice part,it describes my process and thinking in the creation of historical sculpture.By combining practical experience,it reflects my application and cognition of the rich connotation of realism concept.Finally,by combining the spirit of The Times,it explores and discusses the vitality and vitality of realism in art creation and aesthetic development.
