The Chinese national opera "The Red River Valley" is one of the representative works of the contemporary new opera.It is a successful work of interpreting the stories of Chinese ethnic minorities with westem composing techniques and westem singing methods.The arias of the two main soprano characters,"Danzhu" and "Xue’er" all contrasts in singing style,expression,melodic music,and character personality.In the same department of the same opera and the singing of different character,the singer has different handling and performances in the aspects of emotion,breathing,entry and extension of musical sentences.According to this situation,the author further studied the two personal arias of the two characters(Danzhu Aria "I Am the Daughter of the Head",Xue’er Aria "I was born by the Yellow River"),combined with other and their own practice,and excavated the singing skills and performance language of the two works in singing and performance.
