The book,Sustainable Land Management in a European Context,is a collection of academic essays on innovative solutions to land use and management in European cities, attempting to deal with the problems and challenges of sustainable land management. This report selects Chapters 7 and 8 of the book as its translation material.Guided by Eugene Nida’s Functional Equivalence Theory, this report mainly analyzes some translation cases from lexical, syntactic and textual levels, exploring the translation techniques of informative texts, such as amplification, the change of voices, splitting and recasting and so on.Through this translation practice, the author has deepened the understanding of Functional Equivalence Theory and its application, improved translation skills. It is hoped that this report can provide reference for the translation of informative texts.
