As a calligrapher who initiated the calligraphy style of "advocating meaning",Su Shi’s calligraphy and calligraphy thought have always been a hot issue of common concern in the research and practice of calligraphers of all dynasties since the Song Dynasty, and it is also one of the main trends in the development of calligraphy circles of all dynasties. Therefore,"the acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty" has become the common understanding of many calligraphers and scholars. In the process of studying the acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty, the speech and copying practice of the calligraphers in the Qing Dynasty are the main arguments of this topic. In addition, the reason for the acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty is undoubtedly an unavoidable part.On the basis of the study of Su Benshi’s calligraphy in the Song Dynasty and the later generations,it is divided into two aspects: the first is the brief analysis of the influence of the collection of relevant materials on Su Benshi’s calligraphy in the Ming Dynasty; On the other hand, the Qing Dynasty is divided into three periods: the former, the middle and the late, and the acceptance process of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty is tracked through the study of the reasons for the acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy by the Qing people, the promotion of theory and the practice of calligraphy, trying to show the degree of acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy in different periods of the Qing Dynasty. In the early Qing Dynasty, due to the special background of the times, the literary world of the early Qing Dynasty was shrouded in sentimentalism. As a remnant of the Ming Dynasty, the literati and bureaucrats experienced the collapse of the country and the death of their families, and their hearts were more painful. Therefore, they placed their feelings on Su Shi who had the same experience. In addition, the rise of engraved calligraphy and the praise of Su Shi’s calligraphy appeared in the calligraphy theory. Therefore,Su Shu also appeared in the sight of calligraphers in the early Qing Dynasty. After entering the middle of Qing Dynasty, first of all,the number of Su Shi’s calligraphy published in congtie increased rapidly compared with that in the early stage, which made the range of Su Shu’s calligraphy accepted wider; Then,Emperor Qianlong and his courtiers fell in love with Su Shi’s calligraphy in the court;Secondly, from the perspective of calligraphy theory, this paper discusses the calligraphers and scholars’ praise for Su Shi’s calligraphy style and innovative spirit; Finally, from the perspective of calligraphy practice, this paper discusses the Calligraphers’ practice of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. In the late Qing Dynasty, first of all,on the premise that Su calligraphy was engraved in Cong calligraphy, the form of single engraved calligraphy in Su calligraphy was gradually popular in the world; Then,it discusses the discussion of calligraphers and scholars on Su Shi’s writing quality, personality, calligraphy theory and techniques; Finally,it discusses that under the influence of the "Song Poetry Movement" in the late Qing Dynasty, the phenomenon of "taking knowledge as poetry" makes the contemporary calligraphers and scholars highly praise Su’s poetry.Coupled with the relationship between poetry and books, the calligraphers of the late Qing Dynasty admire Su’s style very much.In a word, this paper mainly explores the acceptance of Su Shi’s calligraphy in the early, middle and late Qing Dynasty from the three cross sections of acceptance reasons, theoretical praise and calligraphy practice, takes the era background of Su Shi’s calligraphy acceptance in the Qing Dynasty as a vertical process, and tries to show the three-dimensional picture of Su Shi’s calligraphy acceptance in the Qing Dynasty in the combination of vertical and horizontal coordinates, trying to provide some academic value for the research of the history of calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty and the study of Su Shi’s calligraphy by today’s calligraphers,Better promote the development of calligraphy.
