Spectacular Narration Of Time-lapse Photography Of Current Chinese Documentary Films

With the advent of the era of visual consumption,people are surrounded by rich images.The increasingly diversified image forms and contents have improved people’s aesthetic threshold and psychological expectations for images.Viewers are eager to get more sensory stimulation from images.Therefore,the spectacle image that can bring visual impact and thrill to the audience has become a new trend of image expression.In recent years,diversified image technology has been applied to the creation of documentary films,which has enriched the expressive power of documentary films and expanded the expressive dimension of documentary films.As a product of scientific and technological progress,time-lapse photography is often used in documentary film creation because of its unique visual expression and aesthetic meaning,and has become one of the sources of documentary film spectacle expression.From the perspective of spectacle theory,this paper explores the spectacle expression ways and effects of documentary delay photography,and analyzes the deep logic and social background of documentary spectacle tendency by using the theories of narratology,spectacle narrative theory and defamiliarization effect as the theoretical support.The first chapter combs the development of time-delay photography and documentary film time-delay photography,and expounds the technical principle of time-delay photography and the close relationship between time-delay photography and science and technology,so as to lay a foundation for the research of this paper.In the second chapter,from the visual aesthetic conditions,scientific and technological conditions and narrative art conditions,this paper analyzes the reasons why documentary delay photography can present spectacle images,including not only the unstoppable era of image consumption,but also the characteristics of delay photography itself.In the third chapter,the spatiotemporal wonders created by time-lapse photography are discussed in detail,and several spatiotemporal wonders caused by spatiotemporal distortion of time-lapse photography are listed respectively.The fourth chapter focuses on the spectacle narration of documentary film delay photography,and holds that the delay photography lens in documentary film is "a meaningful form",which is not only an important resource to obtain the visual pleasure of image,but also an important part of film narration.Focusing on the combination form and law of time-delay photography and other lenses,this chapter is divided into three aspects:single time-delay photography lens narrative,time-delay photography combination narrative and sound painting narrative combination,and analyzes how time-delay photography lens skillfully integrates technology and art in documentary films.The fifth chapter analyzes and summarizes the aesthetic value of the spectacle of documentary film delay photography,and shows the aesthetic value of delay photography by describing the aesthetic type of the scene and the aesthetic form of speed.The delay photography in documentary film continues to attract the attention of the audience with its "thrilling" sense of experience,the unique beauty of space-time shuttle and the strangeness of breaking the reality.Studying the narrative method and effect of time-lapse photography in documentary films is of great help to the creation of documentary films.In recent years,new technologies such as aerial photography and digital technology have been widely used in documentary film creation,which has opened up new perspectives and new forms of expression for the film.However,the emergence of a new technology will trigger an upsurge of imitation,which often makes film and television works fall into the pattern of showmanship.Studying the spectacle narration of time-lapse photography in documentary films,looking for the way to integrate technology into art and make technology always serve art,is also providing a reference way for other research.
