With the development of the Internet era,people’s pursuit of visual aesthetics has generally improved,and the trend of diversification of illustration design has become increasingly obvious.Traditional aesthetic forms have been unable to meet people’s aesthetic needs,and people began to pursue fresh visual experience.As an artistic treasure of our country,watermark woodcut is more worthy of innovation and development for its unique artistic language.In this context,the introduction of watermark woodcut techniques into the book illustration design process is not only an innovation in the expression of modern book illustrations,but also the inheritance and development of traditional handicrafts.This topic focuses on the visual performance of watermarking woodcut techniques in illustration design.First,the basic concepts,expressions and artistic value of watermarking woodcutting techniques are sorted out,and then the innovativeness shown in the application of watermarking woodcutting techniques in book illustration design is presented.In the beginning,it discusses how to integrate the artistic language such as watermark woodcut knife flavor,water flavor and imprint into the book illustration design reasonably and interestingly,and conducts in-depth research on its innovative application through case analysis.Finally,based on theoretical research,the illustration design of "Huzhou Food Culture Manbi" is carried out,and the watermark woodcut expression technique is used to further explore the creation methods of book illustrations,so as to provide designers with creative cases,so as to better promote the effective inheritance and development of traditional culture.
