| For young people,marriage means the formation of a new family structure,and parental status means the continuation of the old family structure.From the perspective of life course theory and cultural feedback theory,this paper studies the influence and mechanism of the generation of new family structure and the continuation of old family structure on the identity and practice of filial piety of young people.The results show that compared with unmarried youth,married youth have lower filial piety concept and practice;There is a positive correlation between the economic dependence of children on their fathers and the filial piety of young people.There is a negative correlation between filial piety practice and offspring’s dependence on parental housework and emotional dependence.There is a negative correlation between offspring’s dependence on their fathers’ housework and emotional dependence on their fathers’ filial piety.There is a positive correlation between children’s economic dependence on their parents and young people’s filial piety practice.This shows that the new family structure will only affect the identification of traditional filial piety,but not the practice of filial piety.Intergenerational recognition and support in the family depends on the mutual emotional support between the children and the parents in daily life rather than on housework and financial dependence. |
