Research On The Application Of Mosaic Art In Painting Language

Mosaic art has a long history and has appeared as early as the ancient Greek period.Its decoration has always been its main function.The application of mosaic materials in murals is only used as a tool for the transformation of painting works.There has been relatively little research on the ontology language of mosaic art and its application in painting language.Based on the study of the development history of mosaic art at home and abroad,this paper discusses the expressiveness,possibility and innovation of mosaic art in painting language by analyzing the mosaic works of domestic artists.This paper mainly discusses from four parts: firstly,the article studies the development history of mosaic art,and understands the application and development of mosaic art through history.Secondly,it analyzes the similarities and differences between mosaic art and easel painting in media and formal expression,and discusses the feasibility of the application of mosaic art in painting language in the comparison with easel painting.Third,through the interpretation of the mosaic works of domestic artists,this paper discusses the application and development of contemporary mosaic art in the field of painting.The last part is to talk about my own understanding and thinking about the application of mosaic art in painting language through the attempt and innovation in creative practice.Mosaic art in contemporary painting fully absorbs the essence of easel painting theory in the form of picture,showing a variety of styles and forms of expression;In terms of the content and meaning of the work,it is no longer limited to decorative and religious themes,but has a broad expression theme,which extends the meaning of the work;In terms of display mode,mosaic art extends from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional display mode,especially in installation art and public art.Therefore,contemporary mosaic art has broken its decorative attribute,is no longer an architectural decoration,but has become an art form with unique material language and application value.The combination of mosaic art and painting has become its inevitable development direction in the field of pure art.
