Research On The Application Of Inscription Stroke Modeling In Modern Font Design

Times This paper issues the font characteristics and writing rules basing on the inscriptions in the famous bronze wares of the Western Zhou Dynasty,such as Mao Gong Ding,Sanshi pan,Shi Qiang pan,Guo Jizi bai pan and Xiao Ke Ding.By analyzing and studying the font shape,structural proportion and stroke modeling by exploratory research to integrate them into the characteristics of the Western Zhou Dynasty inscriptions.Meanwhile retains the traditional characteristics of the inscriptions.Demonstrating and transforming the unrecognizable parts in the modeling characteristics of fonts by improvement research,summarizing the integration method of ancient Chinese character style and stroking modeling characteristics with the design practice of Jin Yunmingwen style to help modern people to embrace Chinese classical fonts,to satisfy the demands of people’s cognition,dissemination and application,in order to convey the specific flavor of the times and the corresponding information content,and offer a reference of the ancient Chinese character style font design with and stroke modeling characteristics in the future.
