"Sleeve Dagger and Warriors" originally created in 1999,is the music composed by the composer Chen Danbu for the dance of the same name, which was adapted into a solo version of the pipa in 2015.The musical work is based on the Chinese historical allusion named "Jing Ke assassinated the King of Qin(227BC)".The musical work is a combination of historical allusion, traditional musical instruments, and Western composition techniques, reflecting the composer’s reinterpretation of Chinese historical allusion and his unique thinking on the aesthetic value of Chinese traditional music. This paper will regard this work as a research object and further explore the process of the composer’s creative thinking through the analysis of the musical structure and creative techniques of the work, and the combination with the author’s playing experience.Meanwhile,it is hoped that this paper can provide a certain theoretical basis and practical experience for the future research of pipa players.
