The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were intertwined with changes and innovations. The decline of Zhou Tianzi’s power and the confrontation between the vassal states led to the cultural characteristics of each vassal state. The late Spring and Autumn Period to the entire Warring States period was the period from the birth to prosperity and then to the demise of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State. The Warring States Period was the first prosperous period in the history of the development of bronze mirrors in my country. The style of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State is unique and the number of unearthed is huge.Although it has been discussed frequently in the past, there is still a lot of room for discussion in the research on the overall staging, divisions and their relationship with the status of the tomb owner. This paper strives to grasp the development of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State from a macro perspective, comprehensively study the division of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State and the reasons for its formation, and explore the internal relationship between Bronze Mirrors of Chu State and the status of the tomb owner. The introduction part summarizes the main achievements of the previous research, and on this basis puts forward the research ideas and research purposes of this paper. The first chapter is a typological study of Chu mirrors and a brief analysis of their ornamentation.According to the difference of decorative craftsmanship, the bronze mirrors unearthed from the Chu tombs are divided into two types:A-class ordinary craft mirrors and B-class special craft mirrors.Ground-patterned mirrors,Class A c: Yunlei ground-patterned mirrors,Class A-D others,a total of four subcategories,of which the plain mirrors include three types: non-patterned mirrors,string-patterned mirrors and arc-patterned mirrors;feather-like patterned mirrors Including pure feather pattern mirrors, mosaic mirrors, mountain pattern mirrors, diamond pattern mirrors, animal pattern mirrors and panchi pattern mirrors;cloud and thunder ground pattern mirrors include pure cloud thunder pattern mirrors, mosaic mirrors There are five types of mirrors: panchi pattern mirror, curved pattern mirror, and animal pattern mirror;Class B mirrors, that is,special craft mirrors, include two types of open-cut mirrors and painted mirrors, each of which is divided into several types. The second chapter is a staging study on the Bronze Mirror of Chu State.Based on the representative chronological research of Chu tombs, combined with the typological research of the mirrors, the Bronze Mirror of Chu State are divided into three periods, one of which: the late Spring and Autumn period to the early Warring States period;the second period: the middle period of the Warring States period;the third period: the Warring States period late. And the evolution of mirror button and mirror edge is summarized. The third chapter is the research on the division of the Bronze Mirror of Chu State.Bronze Mirrors of Chu State are mainly distributed in the four provinces of Hunan,Hubei,Anhui and Henan today, and the types and quantities of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State in each district are different. There may be two reasons for this situation. One is that it may be related to the distribution, collection and transportation conditions of copper mines in Chu State. The convenience of transportation of raw materials is positively related to the utilization rate of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State. The distribution of Chu people’s gathering areas is closely related, and Chu-style mirrors are scattered and distributed around large cities and settlements. At the same time,Bronze Mirrors of Chu State also have a certain influence in the spheres of influence of Qin,Wuyue, and Bashu. Some of these Chu-style mirrors flowed into other countries due to wars and trade, and some were imitated by local Chu culture. The fourth chapter discusses the casting and use of Bronze Mirrors of Chu State.Through research on the distribution of copper mines and the distribution of water systems in the state of Chu,it can be seen that the origin of the Chu mirror is closely related to the large population of the Chu people and the migration of the political center. The Chu mirror adopts the Fan casting method in the production process. With the gradual maturity of the bronze mirror casting technology and the communication and dissemination of culture, embossed, openwork, openwork and other decorative carving techniques have begun to be applied to the manufacture of Bronze Mirror of Chu State. In use,Bronze Mirror of Chu State may have both the practicality of daily life necessities and the unique attributes of witch culture. There are indeed differences in the rank of Bronze Mirror of Chu State in the people who use them.Civilians mostly use plain the mirrors, while other Bronze Mirrors of Chu State with complex cast patterns and special craftsmanship are mostly used by nobles. The concluding remarks summarize the main findings of this paper.
