Writing the interpreting practice report is an important link in MTI graduate training,an important step to test the correlation of theory and practice, also an important reference to provide experience for future interpreting practice. The interpreting task is to interpret the online academic exchange and experience sharing symposium for international students in Jilin University.Due to the phonetic changes of the Pakistani native speaker and the South Korean native speaker, the author encountered listening comprehension barriers which affected the quality of interpreting. In order to solve the problems of listening comprehension barriers caused by phonetic changes, the author collected the relevant interpreting theories after the practice, and believes that the schema theory can well guide the interpreter to use specific methods to solve the problems caused by phonetic changes and other factors. This report aims to explore the main characteristics of phonetic changes of the Pakistani native speaker and the South Korean native speaker, and finds out the internal causes of phonetic changes. Then puts forward the corresponding solutions under the framework of the schema theory for the listening comprehension barriers caused by different factors and provide reference for interpreting practice in the future.
