| Documentary films are based on real life and have an extremely important social function.In recent years,The state has introduced some policies to "support the development of cultural industries",and the subsidies and funding for documentary projects are increasing,the content and subject matter of documentary films have also been enriched,with new expressions and increasing influence in the film industry.While the documentary industry is booming,research on documentary creation is also emerging,and the depth and breadth of academic research is expanding.Humanities documentary is one of the important branches of documentary film,mainly expressing people,culture,history and other contents.What makes it different from other genres is its humanistic connotation,which is unsurpassed by any other documentary genre and has a high humanistic value and historical significance.However,in the current creation and research of humanities documentaries,there is a phenomenon of floating on the surface.The creators ignore the interpretation of the inner essence of the documentary in order to pursue the external beauty of the documentary,and the excavation of the humanistic connotation of the documentary is not rich and deep enough;at the same time,the creators’ extreme pursuit of authenticity also leads to the lack of artistry of the documentary,and the boring content cannot better shape the image of the characters.Therefore,how to pursue authenticity while taking into account artistry in the creation of humanities documentaries;how to artfully reflect the humanistic connotation in humanities documentaries;how to reflect the humanistic connotation and at the same time better portray the characters is a problem that humanities documentary creators need to study in depth.This paper presents a research method based on Vertov’s model,for the creation of humanistic documentary films to address these issues.The theoretical model of "cinematic eye" proposed by Giga Vertov,which advocates the use of actual footage,opposes the logic of direct narrative,opposes artificial acting,and advocates the use of montage and audiovisual art,has a profound impact on the development of cinema.Based on the research method of Vertov’s model,the research of this paper includes the following three aspects:Firstly,based on combing existing theories and literature,the author explores the influence of Vertov’s model on the development of humanities documentaries in China,and analyzes the current situation of humanities documentary research as well as the research background.Secondly,based on Vertov’s theoretical model,the author discusses how to reflect the humanistic connotation in humanistic documentaries through artistry and better portray the characters in conjunction with the graduation work "The Last Picked Mountain".The graduation work takes Wang Huaiyu’s and Wang Rongquan’s mountain picking process and survival status as the content.The documentary "The Last Mountain" reveals the spirit of ordinary people who are not only concerned about the fate of the mountain workers,but also about people who are forging ahead in reality and dreams.Thirdly,taking the graduation work "The Last Mountain" as an example,we explore the research method of humanities documentary creation based on Vertov’s model.The research method is mainly embodied in the following: from the level of humanities documentary topic selection planning to elaborate on the selection techniques;in the level of narrative strategy to propose storytelling narrative methods,the importance of detail portrayal and the use of diverse narrative perspectives;in the level of audiovisual strategy to discuss the filming techniques,the use of camera language and the use of sound elements,and the integration of character building methods,analysis of narrative techniques and The importance of narrative techniques and audiovisual language to characterization is analyzed. |
