| At present, all parts of the world are facing major challenges, such as climate change,socio-economic inequality and population aging,so more and more social entrepreneurs to assume their social responsibilities, actively strive to create new ways to solve those government,for-profit and non-profit organizations can not solve the problem, this way to solve the problem in the society has been recognized by the government, private sector,so social entrepreneurship is considered to be entrepreneurs in order to pursue their own social mission process.Because social entrepreneurship activities around the world are affected by different cultures and different economic developments, and there are cases where social entrepreneurship activities are low. Therefore,it is important to further study the factors affecting social entrepreneurship activities in the context of exploring the differences in social entrepreneurship activities between countries.Based on institutional theory and social cognition theory, three factors related to entrepreneurial individuals were selected: identification of entrepreneurial opportunities, fear of failure and entrepreneurial skills, which were summarized as the cognitive dimension of social entrepreneurship, and post-materialist cultural values and liberationist cultural values were selected as cultural value dimensions from the cultural environment level.Build appropriate research models using GEM and WVS databases.Secondly, the fsQCA method was used to analyze the configuration of high and non-high social entrepreneurship activities in innovative countries and efficiency/factor-based countries, which not only paid attention to the influence of social entrepreneurship cognition and cultural values on social entrepreneurship activities, but also paid attention to the combination of factors between the two levels. Finally, the configuration paths of high social entrepreneurship activities and non-high social entrepreneurship activities in innovative countries and efficiency/factor-based countries are further analyzed and compared, and the theoretical and practical significance is provided for follow-up research. The study explores a number of different paths of high and non-high social entrepreneurship activities in innovative countries and efficiency/factor-based countries, which have certain theoretical and practical significance.First, the research is not limited to the impact of individual factors on social entrepreneurship activities, but mainly explores the conditional configuration of entrepreneurial cognition and cultural dimensions of practicing social entrepreneurship activities, enriches the theory of the influencing factors of social entrepreneurship and improves the social entrepreneurship model.Second, the fsQCA research method is used to explain the inconsistencies in the factor mechanisms affecting social entrepreneurship activities, and the research results confirm that the paths to social entrepreneurship activities are diverse.Third, the study confirms that social entrepreneurship activities in different economic regions have different degrees of influence under the synergistic linkage of social entrepreneurship cognition and cultural values, and that high social entrepreneurship activities and non-high social entrepreneurship activities have asymmetry, that is,the causes of non-high social entrepreneurial activities cannot be mechanically deduced from the influencing factors that produce high social entrepreneurial activities.Fourth, the research of social entrepreneurship in China is in the initial stage of development, the use of QCA methods for social entrepreneurship research is less, this study broadens the use of social entrepreneurship research methods, and promotes the application of qualitative comparison methods in China’s research methods. |
