Research On The Application Of Material Language In Contemporary Figure Painting

With the progress of China’s productive forces and the improvement of people’s aesthetic concept and cultural connotation,the material of modern meticulous portraiture is developing continuously on the basis of traditional painting material.As the carrier of the art of painting,material forms a special painting language--material language through a variety of means and techniques.Material language is the medium through which artists express their personal thoughts and feelings.Different materials have different textures,which represent and convey completely different emotional colors.Its diversified development not only enriches the expression forms and visual effects of the works,but also brings more freedom to the artistic expression space for artists.More importantly,opens up a new idea for the development of modern meticulous portraiture.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part of the introduction is a summary of the research status,research content,research purpose and significance,and research methods.The first chapter is the application and analysis of material language in modern meticulous portraiture,mainly including the sketch of the material in traditional meticulous portraiture and the classification,characteristics and application of the material in the modern meticulous portraiture,also the presentation of texture and emotional expression of material language in modern meticulous portraiture and the reference of materials in modern meticulous portraiture to different kinds of paintings.Analyze and summarize through the modern representative specific cases.The second chapter is to explore the significance of the use of material language in modern meticulous portraiture,mainly expounding the positive influence and reflection of the use of material language in modern meticulous portraiture.The third chapter is the use of material language in the creation of meticulous figure painting,mainly is the combination of my own creation experience.The final conclusion is a summary of the whole text.
