| Emotion labeling effect refers to the reduction of Emotion in labeling or naming emotional features of stimulus.Previous researches have explored whether the ability of behavioral inhibition affects the regulation of explicit emotions, while there is no studies learning about the impact of behavioral inhibition on implicit emotions regulation. The present study conduct an ERPs experiment to explore the difference of emotion labeling effect between individuals with high and low inhibitory control ability.836 students participated in the questionnaire survey.93 students without childhood abuse were recruited to participate in the follow-up experiment.Specifically,we made modified double-choice oddball task, taking the reaction time cost as indicator,to distinguish the behaviour inhibition capacity of subjects.32 subjects were selected to participate in following experiment, with 16 subjects in each group, half male and half female. The emotion labeling experiment made angry and happy emotion images as materials, used a mixed design of Behavioral inhibition(high, low)× Emotion(anger, pleasure)× Task type(emotional labeling, gender labeling)to explore the impact of behavior inhibitory control on emotional labeling, and the dependent variables were N170 amplitude(145-190 ms)and LPP amplitude(300-800 ms).The ERP results showed that a significant interaction between task type and behavioral inhibition were observed.Specifically speaking, when the object was high behavioral inhibitory ability, the amplitude of LPP induced by emotion labeling task was significantly lower than that induced by gender labeling;but when the object was low behavioral inhibitory ability, there was no difference on amplitude of LPP between emotion labeling and gender labeling. It indicated that individuals with high inhibition ability can produce emotion labeling effect. The present study suggests that behavioral inhibition control has a transfer effect on emotional labeling effect. The higher the response inhibition ability of individuals, the better the emotion labeling effect. The strength model and far transfer theory have been further proved. |
