| “Stride Piano" is a jazz piano technique originated from Ragtime music in the United States.The playing form consists of the left hand playing bass and chord alternately across the piano low tone area,and at the same time the right hand improvising with gorgeous fast and rhythmic swing according to the harmony trend."Stride Piano" has been widely used in jazz piano improvisation,running through different style periods in the history of jazz history,especially Fats Waller,a famous Jazz pianist in the1920 S in the United States,who enriched and developed this technique in his creation.Therefore,the author will take Fats Waller’s three solo works 《Ain’t Misbehavin》 、《Tea for Two》and 《Honeysuckle Rose》as the research object,analyze the bass,harmony and rhythm of the left hand.Compared with the use of other jazz pianists in different periods,and further discusses the application value and practical significance of "Stride Piano Playing Techniques".This paper is divided into three parts: The first chapter briefly describes the historical background of the formation of "Stride Piano Playing Techniques" 、put forward the importance of "Stride Piano Playing Techniques" and introduce Fats Waller’s life.Chapter two focus on the analysis of Fats Waller’s three works how to use and develop the technique of “Stride Piano”.The third chapter summarizes the application value and significance of "Stride Piano" in jazz piano improvisation,providing more theoretical reference for future researchers... |
