Bronze art,flourished in the Shang Zhou Dynasties,is one of the peak works of China’s art history.It plays a vital role in the history of social development in China.Kui Wen is a grain which is attached to bronze ware,have unique style and full of mysterious and dignified characteristics.The appearance of bronze ware is given more glamour by the unique decorative aesthetic feeling of Kui Wen.The plenty types and unique characteristics of Kui Wen are closely related to living ackground and artistic aesthetics of Shang Zhou dynasty’s people.Kui Wen always keeps mysterious sense even it has also evolved by development of the times.It shows aesthetics of ancient Chinese people and made many far-deeply impact on the art culture of later generations.In the animation creation,the animation is timed for three minutes and fifty-five seconds.This research is divided into five parts.The first part mainly elaborate the purpose,background and significance of this subject,and analyzes the performance techniques of some related cases through consulting materials.The second part is the conceptual explanation of pattern decoration about Kui Wen,which mainly talk about the classification,characteristics,cultural background and analyzes its culture and artistry.Analyzed and summarized types,features and cultural background,for the following application of character translation design and scene element translation design.The third part is from the perspective of modern aesthetics,extract modeling feature elements,color elements and intention elements of Kui Wen.It carries out the translation design of character modeling and scene props,and presents through the practical creation of the animated short film You.The fourth part analyzes and summarizes the cultural connotation significance,the translation design of modern animation creation,and the formal characteristics and cultural background of of Kui Wen for considering how to make a better design.The fifth part is a summary and Enlightenment of analyzing the application of Chinese traditional patterns in animation,thinking about how to draw essence from traditional patterns and then design and produce animation that conforms to modern characteristics.China’s traditional culture has really long history,and the Kui Wen of bronze ware is only a small part in it.This paper show the collision of the ancient Kui Wen with modern art and integrates it into the animation works to make the animation vitality.Features,significance of kui wen and people’s aesthetic mentioned in this paper shown in animated short films.This paper can bring a different kind of bronze pattern aesthetics to the viewers,improve people’s cognition and understanding of the characteristics of Kui Wen cof bronze.To provoke the thoughts about traditional culture in animation and improve cultural confidence.
