| Mobile phone addiction refers to a new type of behavioral addiction,which is caused by individuals’ excessive use of mobile phones and unable to control their mobile phone use behavior,which damages their social function and causes individual psychological and behavioral problems.Adolescents children are in an active period of physical and mental development.Due to their strong curiosity and weak self-control,they are more likely to lead to mobile phone addiction.In order to protect children from the negative impact of mobile phone addiction,parents in the digital age usually use various means to interfere with their children’s mobile phone use,forming a specific parenting style to manage their children’s media use（usually mobile phone）,that is,parental mediation.However,studies have shown that the effect of parental mediation is controversial.So how do parents in Chinese families interfere with teenagers’ mobile phone use? Can parental mediation effectively reduce teenagers’ mobile phone use time and reduce their risk of mobile phone addiction? What is the psychological mechanism of parental mediation affecting teenagers’ mobile phone addiction? Based on this realistic background and research background,the study will investigate the impact and mechanism of parental mediation on Teenagers’ mobile phone use time（behavioral level）and mobile phone addiction（psychological level）based on Psychological Resistance Theory,and test the mediating role of state psychological resistance and the moderating role of teenagers’ benefit explanation of parental mediation.A total of 822 subjects were investigated in three primary and secondary schools（grades 6 to 9）in Shangqiu City,Henan Province,including 408 boys（49.6%）and 412girls（50.1%）;207 students in Grade 6 of primary school（25.2%）and 715 students in junior middle school（74.8%）;The average age of the subjects was 13.38 years old,and the standard deviation was 1.35.The study used adolescents mobile phone addiction scale,parental mediation questionnaire,state psychological resistance scale and benefit explanation questionnaire of parental mediation.The group test was carried out in class,and spss21 0 analyze the data.The results showed that:（1）172 middle school students in this study could be diagnosed as mobile phone addiction,and the detection rate was20.9%.（2）There was a significant positive correlation between restrictive intervention and active intervention;Restrictive intervention was negatively correlated with the use time of mobile phone and entertainment function on holidays,and significantly positively correlated with state psychological resistance,benefit explanation and mobile phone addiction;Active intervention was negatively correlated with the use time of entertainment function,and positively correlated with benefit explanation and mobile phone addiction;State psychological resistance is positively correlated with mobile phone addiction and negatively correlated with benefit explanation.（3）Restrictive intervention significantly negatively predicted the use time of holiday days and entertainment functions;Active intervention had no significant predictive effect on vacation time,entertainment function time and mobile phone addiction.（4）Adolescents state psychological resistance plays a mediating role between restrictive parental mediation and adolescents mobile phone addiction;Benefit explanation plays a regulatory role in the first half of the intermediary path of restricted parental mediation affecting adolescents mobile phone addiction by state psychological resistance.Specifically,when the benefit explanation of adolescents is high,the impact of restricted parental mediation on adolescents state psychological resistance is weakened.Based on the above results,the study draws the following conclusions: parental mediation can reduce adolescent mobile phone use time,while restrictive parental mediation will increase adolescents state psychological resistance level and then increase their risk of mobile phone addiction,but this process is regulated by adolescents benefit explanation,and high-level benefit explanation can weaken the impact of restrictive parental mediation on adolescents the state psychological resistance. |
