Gioachino Antonio Rossini,a representative of the Italian opera buffa,created numerous masterpieces in his life.I,as a horn learner,feel very lucky to enjoy his solo horn workIntroduction,Theme and Variations Rossini,which specifically shows his own style and is a rare solo horn work including both showy and singing.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter is about Rossini’s life and the introduction about the Introduction,Theme and Variations Rossini,including its background.The second chapter will make some analysis from the aspects of tonality,harmony and form.The third chapter will focus on the performance techniques of the Introduction,Theme and Variations Rossini in practice.The fourth chapter will make a comparative analysis according to recordings of the four masters.We can gain some values in our future performance after making multi-dimensional analysis of the Introduction,prelude,Theme and Variations Rossini.
