Research On The Music Composition Of Zhang Qianyi’s National Orchestral Symphony North Of The Great River

Zhang Qianyi,a famous contemporary composer in China,has composed a large number of musical works that are loved by the people.This study takes North of the Great River as the object of research,and through the study of the composition techniques and the regional culture of Hebei contained in this work,we explore how the composer uses the perspective of integration and openness to create a folk music work with modern significance,with the purpose of promoting the work and the music culture of Hebei.This paper is divided into five chapters: Chapter 1 contains two sections,describing the artistic life of composer Zhang Qianyi and the background of the composition of North of the River;Chapter 2 is a study of the composition of the third and fifth movements from the perspective of the structural force of the work;Chapter 3 is a study of the composition of the second and sixth movements from the perspective of music and architecture;Chapter 4 is an analysis from the perspective of modern composition techniques,and a study of the composition of the first and seventh movements;Chapter 5 is an analysis of the folk traditional music composition techniques in the work.The final study shows that the national orchestral symphony North of the Great River takes the cultural phenomenon of Hebei as its main subject and material,and realizes the connection and unity of the seven movements through the development of the arch structure thinking,which is an excellent musical work with both listenability and technicality.The composer,Zhang Qianyi,vividly tells the story of Hebei and the story of China for the whole world with his subtle musical conception and unique musical language,embodying a Chinese composer’s responsibility and commitment to national cultural confidence and to glorifying the motherland and the people with music.It is hoped that this study will contribute positively to the study of Mr.Zhang Qianyi’s musical composition and to the study of Hebei’s musical composition in the perspective of Yanzhao culture,and make a modest contribution to the promotion of this work.
