An Analysis Of Duanmu Hongliang’s "Revolt In Northeast China" Theme Novels

Duanmu Hongliang was a core member of the "China Northeast Writers Group".Before the founding of the People’s Republic of China,he insisted on writing revolt novels in Northeast China for more than ten years.Nowadays,the researchers of the novels of Duanmu Hongliang have focused on the perspective of "Native-Soil" literature or Anti-Japanese war literature.However,this research neglect the overall concern of the novel.This paper explains the research misunderstanding from the perspective of the scene description,the content authenticity,and etc.in the Duanmu Hongliang novels.This paper includes three aspects.First,base on analyzing the background,characters,and themes of Duanmu Hongliang’s novel,this paper proposes a comprehensive theme of the novel,which I called "Revolt in Northeast China".Without the characters of the Northeast,the "Revolt in Northeast China" will no longer exist.Second,from an overall perspective,this paper analyzes the constituent elements of the novel "Revolt in Northeast China".Third,this paper concludes the feature of the "Revolt in Northeast China" and the reason why "Revolt in Northeast China" is difficult to exist without the "Northeast China" elements.This paper expounds that the novel "Revolt in Northeast China" is Duanmu Hongliang’s attempt.This attempt merge nostalgia and the Anti-Japanese War,fiction and reality,and history and future.These revolt novels are rooted in the Northeast,connected with the Northeast,and idealized the Northeast.Only the nature of Northeast China can foster to the wild,powerful,and primitive Northeastern people.Only Northeastern people can initiate these fierce revolts.If the "Northeast China" elements are missing from Duanmu Hongliang’s novel,these revolt novels will face the scarcity of source and foundation.In addition,the "Northeast China" in the novel is an idealized reconstruction based on reality,which is Duanmu Hongliang’s spiritual hometown in the literary world.
