A Study On Duanmu Hongliang’s Red Mansion

Duanmu Hongliang is one of the important writers in the northeast writers group.For a long time,most people only focus on his early magnificent and vigorous "big block" works,but often ignore his series of works with the theme of "a dream of Red Mansions".Stemming from his love for a dream of Red Mansions,Duanmu created drama,novels and poems on the theme of "Red Mansions".His works not only inherit the dream of the red chamber,but also are new changes.On the one hand,while continuing the classic writing,they are integrated with the current of the times,reflecting new social problems and ideological trends.On the other hand,he tries to inject fresh colors of social improvement into his works,and deeply touches the hard-working masses in the bottom society.In fact,the research on Duanmu’s "Red Chamber" theme creation is of great importance not only to tap his inner "new" consciousness,but also to sort out his potential contribution to literary history.In this paper,on the basis of systematizing the works of Duanmu Hongliang’s "Red Chamber" theme,the author analyzes the deep roots and unique charm of its "Red Chamber" writing,and at the same time,uses the comparative perspective to dig the deep literary significance of Duanmu Hongliang’s "Red Chamber" theme creation in the context of the times,in order to provide a way of thinking for rediscovering Duanmu Hongliang’s contribution.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper mainly includes three parts:In the first part,Duanmu’s love for the "Red Chamber" is summarized and sorted out according to the classification of literary genres.Duanmu’s works on the theme of "Red Mansions" are mostly concentrated in the middle and later period of his works,which are mainly distributed in three literary genres: drama,novel and poetry.Then from the perspective of the dual interweaving of sensibility and rationality,this paper analyzes the deep motivation of Duanmu’s creation with the theme of a dream of Red Mansions.For the love of subjective emotion,Duanmu always hides the dream of the red chamber in his heart.When facing the blow of Xiao Hong’s death and the hurt of gossip,Duanmu loses his ground in the cruelsituation.At this time,the loss can’t support the heavy and radical themes of the past.He has to return to the familiar dream of the red chamber to seek transcendence and liberation.The second part is about the inheritance and variation of Duanmu’s "Red Chamber Dream" from the specific works of its "Red Chamber" theme.The world of "Red Mansions" in Duanmu’s works not only inherits the original work "dream of Red Mansions",but also has many unique ideological characteristics.It continues the melancholy family Elegy of the original "Red Chamber",the prosperous and sad fate of women,and the colorful culture and folk customs.At the same time,it merges with the context of the times and creates a unique "Red Chamber" world belonging to Duanmu Hongliang.This part focuses on the uniqueness of Duanmu’s "Honglou" theme creation,that is,the openness of plot writing,the creation of ideal characters,and the unique discourse mode of the integration of "poetry" and "custom".At the same time,it analyzes the reasons for this "variation" from the dual perspectives of individuals and the times.The third part focuses on the value of the creation of "Honglou" theme.The value of the works is often clearly presented in the perspective of comparison.Therefore,this part selects the relevant "Red Chamber" theme works of Zhao Qingge,Bai Wei and Liu Xinwu,the three new literary writers,and compares them with the "Red Chamber" theme works of Duanmu Hongliang,presenting the "Red Chamber" theme creation of Duanmu Hongliang in Figure building,theme display and artistic expression Profound value and unique charm,this unique literary writing and creation posture not only symbolizes Duanmu Hongliang’s self-consciousness maturity,but also reflects the conscience of the national spirit of an era.
