The Research And Application Of Decoration In Mark Rothko’s Painting Language

Mark Rothko is a pioneer representative of gamut painting in the Abstract Expressionism movement in the United States after the end of World War II.He takes his own strong emotional expression and the viewer’s sensory experience as his important creative motivation,and the decorative painting language has an emotional abstract interpretation on his pictures His works are diverse in style,content and form,and rich in decorative effect.They reflect the state of mind and social narrative in different moments with a simple and profound meaning.This paper aims to explore the decorative and aesthetic value of Mark Rothko ’s painting language art in various periods,and chooses three important periods of his artistic style as the research objects First of all,through the collection of existing relatively comprehensive picture albums and the collection of research literature and materials,the chronological sequence as the context of the elaboration,focus on sorting out and analyzing the development and formation of Rothko ’s painting style,and summarize the evolution of the painting style;Secondly,from the color composition model focused on Rothko ’s abstract painting language form different adornment characteristic,Rothko painting creation process pay close attention to its painting decorative aesthetic feeling and visual experience,and apply the creative way to themselves by the end of the article analysis in the design of Rothko ’s concept of art and the relationship between the painting language,further summarizes the paper argument.
