| Hokkien is located in the southeast of Fujian Province.It is surrounded by mountains on one side and sea on three sides.Its unique geographical location makes it easy for the region to retain the ancient folk beliefs of the Central Plains and the culture derived from their beliefs.At the same time,the area looked across the sea from Taiwan,and the relationship between the two sides is a strip of water.Folk beliefs share the same roots and cultures.Taoist beliefs play a very important role in the folk beliefs of Hokkien area.People in Hokkien area hold various celebrations when celebrating the birthdays of gods and festivals.Moreover,the Taoist music in Hokkien area relies on this kind of folk activities of various kinds,which has been imparted and sung by Taoist priests from mouth to heart.It contains the traditional cultural characteristics of the people in Hokkien area and reflects the pluralistic cultural characteristics of the people in Hokkien area,which is unique and representative.In this paper,using the method of field investigation in ethnomusicology,this paper takes the music of Taoist ritual music with the San-Guan Daoist Court in Dongping Mountain of Xiamen City in Hokkien area as an example,and describes in detail the folk beliefs in Hokkien area,the relationship between folk beliefs and Taoism,the background of Taoist rituals,the participation of ceremony personnel and the procedure arrangement of rituals.This paper analyzes the melody,rhythm and mode features of music in the Hokkien Taoist Academy.Through the analysis of Taoist singing and playing music examples,it is known that the main modes of the San-Guan Daoist Court in Xiamen are palace,symbolic and feather modes,accounting for 95% of the whole rhyme,and the scale is mainly Chinese traditional pentatonic scales.In addition,the temple of six-tone scales plus variations is more common.There are eight classical rhythms in the whole music of science and etiquette.The rhythm is mostly stable rhythm.In order to highlight the swaying and rhythmic characteristics of the classical rhythm,the rhythm is often composed of syncopated rhythm and sixteen dotted notes.Through the analysis of ritual music,the relationship between the music type and culture in this area is concluded.That is to say,when there are many attachments and syncopated rhythms in ritual music,the overall style is full of wavering characteristics,and Taoist priests are also easy to join in dance movements when performing ritual music.Therefore,the palace held a ceremony in order to attract more believers to worship,dance Taoist classes are more popular here;repeating the same piece of music in the melody is to enhance the communication between believers and Taoists in the ceremony.Finally,it explores the origin of the spiritual history of Hokkien and Taiwan,and analyses the interaction of cross-strait cultural exchanges and exchanges,which are dominated by the Taoist activities of educational ceremonies of Hokkien,and draws a conclusion that the folk beliefs on both sides of the Taiwan Strait share the same root.Taiwan’s spiritual belief was brought to Taiwan by Fujian people when they reclaimed Taiwan.Taiwan’s main folk beliefs,such as Baosheng Emperor,Mrs.Lingshui and Guan Gong,all came from the mainland;secondly,they share the same cultural origin.Now,in many celebrations held in Hokkien,overseas Chinese will can be seen.Teaching activities are also more frequent.Taoist music plays a role in communicating people’s feelings across the Straits,spreading the culture of the mainland and enhancing the identity of national culture.In addition,Taoist music in the region has been innovating in its development,communicating with Taoist culture in some overseas countries and regions,and also playing a role in disseminating mainland culture and enhancing national cultural identity.Therefore,the author believes that in cultural exchange,cultural innovation and cultural identity,we should adhere to the authentic nature of culture. |
