| According to evolutionism,the extraction of action information is helpful for people to learn dangerous information in action,so as to improve the possibility of survival.In the past,we have widely studied the time course mechanism of visual perception process,such as object recognition,scene recognition,face recognition,but we know little about the time course mechanism of action information.In order to explore the integration time of action information,and whether there are differences in the integration time of action information and perception information,we conducted three experiments.In Experiment 1,the integration time of action information was studied by using the Stimulus-Response Compatibility paradigm,and the differences of reaction time were compared between consistent and inconsistent situations under four kinds of stimulus presentation time.The results of Experiment 1a showed that there was a significant difference between the reaction time at the condition of 50ms and after.This shows that the object affordance,that is,the activation of action information,appears in the 50ms stage.In Experiment 1b,a group of objects with orientation but unable to grasp were used as stimulus pictures,and no consistency effect was found under four stimulus presentation conditions,indicating that the consistency effect was caused by the object affordance in 1a.In Experiment 2,the integration time of perceptual information was studied through Ponzo illusion.By comparing the reaction time of the object presented above the picture with that of the object presented below the picture under the four kinds of stimulus presentation time,it is found that Ponzo illusion occurs at 33.3ms and later,which indicates that the perceptual information integration time occurs at the stage of 33.3ms.In order to exclude the influence of object position on the difference,we conducted experiment 2b.The stimulus materials did not provide distance cues.It was found that there was no significant difference between the subjects’ reaction time to the object presented above the picture and the object presented below under the four conditions.The influence of the position of objects on the result was excluded.In Experiment 3,the integration time of action information and perception information was compared in the same experiment.The results were consistent with the previous results.The integration time of action information occurred in the 50ms stage,while the perceptual information occurred in the 33.3ms stage.The integration time of action information was later than that of perceptual information.The study of action information and perceptual information will help to understand the processing mechanism behind visual perception and promote the development of computational vision. |
