The Study Of Wang Wensheng’s Edition Of HanShu

Wang Wensheng’s edition of Han Shu was engraved in the early Jiajing period of the Ming dynasty.It is one of the surviving editions of Han Shu.The most distinctive feature of the Wang Wensheng’s edition is that it retains some of the San-liu proofs and the remaining problem is that the base text is not yet determined.Basing on an extensive collection of documentary material,this paper will analyze the state of the Ming Wang Wensheng’s edition and introduce the life of Wang Wensheng.This paper makes reference to the different editions to conduct a general revision of the Ming Wang Wensheng’s edition,and through the collation and examination of the dissimilar texts,we tentatively determine the origin of the base text and provide reference for the revision of the Zhonghua Book’s text.
