Hebei Dao And Li Bai’s Poetry In Tang Dynasty

During the Tang Dynasty,the border wars were frequent,and countless literati and patriots set foot on the journey to Youzhou to make achievements and realize their aspirations.Li Bai was one of them.What the poets saw and heard,wrote and recorded in their travels to the north and the border have become a part of the Hebei Dao culture,and the literary tradition accumulated from generation to generation has also deeply influenced the poets’ literary creation activities.Based on Li Bai’s journey to Youzhou in the tenth Year of Tianbao（751）,this paper discusses the influence of geographical culture of Hebei Dao on Li Bai’s poetry creation.Starting from Luoyang,Li Bai passed Xiangzhou and Mingzhou along the north-south corridor along the eastern foot of Taihang Mountains,and finally arrived at Youzhou,an important border town of the Tang Dynasty.Along the way,Li Bai either visited friends to renew old love,or climbed a high mountain to express his yearning for the past,or leisurely went to the pavilion to enjoy the performance of geisha,or learned riding and shooting to watch the hunting in the frontier.All of these are described in detail in poems written by Li Bai on his journey to the north of the River.Hebei Dao has a long history and culture,countless healthy enterprise,both aerobic Ren Xia terrible man,there is also a beautiful devoted Yanzhao beauty,restraining from Lian Po and Lin Xiangru’s to plain,from pick mulberry,apply to the love loyalty to good Yanji Zhao female,these historical figures in Li Bai into poetry imagery,writing together the cultural tradition of Hebei Dao region.This paper discusses the relationship between Hebei Dao and Li Bai’s poetry in the Tang Dynasty by taking the poems written by Li Bai during his journey and the images of Hebei Dao in Li Bai’s poems as the research scope.Chapter one discusses the situation of north and south Hebei Dao.The southern part of Hebei Dao is economically developed and has a cluster of cities.According to the existing records of Li Bai’s poems,in the southern part of Hebei Dao,Li Bai passed through Xiangzhou,Dingzhou,Weizhou and other places and finally arrived in Youzhou.Understanding the features of these cities is helpful to understand the feelings contained in Li Bai’s poems.The northern part of Hebei Dao was close to the border area,and the management of the Tang Dynasty in this area was different from that in the southern part of Hebei Dao,so the border policy of the Tang Dynasty can be seen from the northern part of Hebei Dao.Chapter two makes an in-depth study and analysis of Li Bai’s poems about Hebei Dao.Li Bai’s poems about Hebei Dao can be divided into two parts.One is the poems he created during his trip to Hebei Dao.These poems are classified according to types and mainly include the poems of farewell and frontier fortress.The other part is the Hebei Dao image mentioned in Li Bai’s poems,which can be divided into three types according to the geographical and natural images,historical image and character image,and each kind of image sustains different poet emotions.Chapter three discusses the relationship between the literary tradition of Hebei Dao and Li Bai’s poetic style.Hebei Dao after the south-north dynasty,take the development of literature,the north Korean literature,formed the unique local characteristics of Hebei literary tradition,Li bai poetry itself inherited the spirit of the sussing out literary style,the trip to the north is deepened understanding of Hebei Dao literary tradition,Li Bai’s trip to Hebei and their poetry creation also deepen the meaning of Hebei Dao literary tradition.
