Dunhuang is located on the hexi Corridor in western China,which constantly absorbs fresh blood from the western regions.As the gateway of ancient eastern and Western musical culture exchange,it shows the exchange and fusion of eastern and western musical culture in Chinese dynasties.The image of konghou instrument in the Murals of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes from the grottoes to the late Tang Dynasty is selected as the object of study,and the number,shape and subject of konghou image in the murals are counted by means of a diachronic study.Combining the historical background,the cultural influence of konghou after it was introduced into the Central Plains is discussed,so as to analyze the integration and practicality of ancient Chinese Musical Instruments and foreign instruments.Finally,the evolution of konghou shows the difference of production and life style between grassland culture and farming culture,and the aesthetic difference between religion and secular culture.The first domestic research status and other aspects of the introdu ction research methods.The second chapter introduces the geographical and historical background of Mogao Grottoes from three aspects: its origin,early development,prosperity and decline.In the third chapter,konghou images in the Murals of Mogao Grottoes in tang Dynasty and before Tang Dynasty are counted,including the grottoes number,konghou location,data type,konghou type,the type of affiliated music and dance,and konghou remarks with konghou well preserved in details.Finally analyzed.The fourth chapter studies konghou images in the Murals of Mogao Grottoes from realistic and imagined perspectives,including konghou image description of fenghou and upright konghou in reality,konghou use in court music and konghou image created by people in the murals.The fifth chapter explains the culture of konghou image in the Murals of Mogao Grottoes in the Han and Tang dynasties,and the aesthetic evolution of konghou in the image from the perspective of multi-culture.
