Full Speed Ahead was written by Henry B.Beston.It mainly depicts Henry’s personal experiences as a special correspondent attached to the forces of the American Navy on foreign service. The whole book is full of descriptions of natural landscapes. What’s more,Henry’s description of the natural landscape is vivid and beautiful. Moreover, the description of submarine officer’s life and submarine during World War I contains rich historical and cultural value, which can make people understand the history of sea warfare during World War I.Therefore, under the guidance of the ecological translation theory, the translation process is completed, and the application of the ecological translation theory in the translation of biographical texts is analyzed. The translation cases are analyzed from three aspects: linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension. It aims to explore the application of ecological translation theory in the translation process of biographical text,so as to optimize the translation and transmit the aesthetic sense of the original text.In addition, through the translation of Full Speed Ahead and the analysis of the problems in the process of translation,it can also provide some reference value for future translation of biographical texts and promote the dissemination of this theory.Through this translation practice, the following conclusions can be drawn: for sentences, words, tense, voice and other differences in language level, the text can be translated into common expressions in Chinese under the guidance of Eco-translatology;For the different expressions formed by the cultural differences between Chinese and English, the translator can choose the words under the guidance of cultural dimension,so that the translation can be accepted by Chinese readers; For the differences between Chinese and English expressions, the translation can be interpreted or translated under the guidance of the communicative dimension, which makes the translation easier to be understood by the reader and avoids ambiguity.Figure 0;Table 0;Reference 31...
