In recent years,ecological crises such as volcanic eruption in Australia and COVID-19 disease have swept the world.People are increasingly aware of the increasingly tense relationship between people and countries,and the concept of "a community with a shared future for mankind" has taken root in the hearts of the people.Examining the relationship between man and nature at different levels and explore the methods to alleviate the current global ecological crisis.The research on ecological ethics is also more noticeable.In the face of the once-in-a-century ecological dilemma,Don De Lillo(1936-)reflected on the causes of human survival crisis and ecological problems,and sought a way out of the crisis.As one of the four most important contemporary American novelists,his novels deal with ecological disasters,the horrors of war,death and other topics,and are called "the copy of contemporary American society".He pays attention to the spiritual ecology of human beings,the norms of international communication and the relationship between survival and development,attaches great importance to the diversity of all things in nature and even the "beautiful face" of the whole earth,showing a strong ecological ethics and humanistic care.Now nearly 80 years old,De Lillo still has a place in today’s literary world,closely related to the foresight,authenticity and practicality of his works,which can stand the test of The Times.This paper mainly discusses the formation context,expression mode,connotation interpretation and value orientation of the ecological ethics in De Lillo’s novels.The details are as follows:The first is the exploration of the formation of context.De Lillo’s immigrant experience and life experience prompted him to reflect on the way of human existence and germinal ecological ethics.Based on the social reality,he applied the ecological ethics principles he sought to his novels,internalized ecological ethics in his mind and externalized ecological ethics in his actions,and actively maintained the "ecological home of the earth".Second,the ecological ethics in De Lillo’s novels are mainly embodied in four aspects: the ecological justice view against colonial war,political intervention,government repression and waste disposal;The ecological holistic view of "unity checks and balances";Oriental ecological ethics of "Nirvana rebirth,life and growth";An ecofeminist ethics that attaches importance to male values.Thirdly,in the way of expression,De Lillo is a writer with profound artistic connotation.The expression of ecological ethics in his novels is embodied in music writing,from returning to place to space writing,and the contrast between natural images and science and technology.He uses novel artistic expression techniques to reveal unique ecological ethics.The fourth is to focus on the value and significance of ecological ethics in the novels.As a witness of the development of The Times,De Lillo writes novels based on facts and emotions.De Lillo’s ecological ethics includes the summary of historical ecological disasters,warning scholars to pay more attention to the educational significance of novels,advocating the combination of practice and creation,improving the ethical value of literature,promoting the spread of the concept of ecological civilization,forming the overall development concept of "symbiosis and common prosperity",helping to improve people’s ethical and moral cultivation,and contributing to the construction of a clean society Share the strength.
