On The Ecological Wisdom In "Shi Shuo Xin Yu"

For nearly 300 years, the modern industry civilization hascreated uncountable material wealth for the humanity . The modernizedadvancement maximizes human's desire as a goal, thoroughly sets up human'scentral and dominant position in earth-circle ,and gives up the respectand awe to the nature. Therefore, the retaliation on humanity ,evoked bythe nature in its own ways, such as the environmental pollution, the speciesextermination, the Unbalanced ecology and etc, are threatening the humansurvival directly. For the humanity, it is time to reconsider. The ecologyis the science concerning the life, after passing the initial stage of thetraditional natural ecology, it becomes more humanist and cultural. Not onlya knowledge and a science the ecology is, but also one kind of ecologicalviews which contains the life and the environment, the human and thenature, the society and the earth, the spirit and the material. It concernsthe natural ecology- equilibrium, as well as the mental balance and harmonyof contemporary people. The ecological idea represents the westernreconsidering on the industry civilization, and the philosophic thinkingon "original point";The west and the east have many common on the thinkingof "original point",which concerns the relation between the human and thenature, as if has a profounder implication in ancient Easterncivilization. That already becomes the mutual recognition of many Westernscholars. The tendency that the west excavates logical root from ancientorientatal thoughts strengthened national self-respect and academicself-confidence of the Eastern scholars greatly, especially theChinese. This research urged them excavated the idea essence from theirnative traditional culture with the aid of the Western philosophicalview, which can contribute sprital resources with Chinese mark for thehumanity who fell into the ecological crisis and the soul crisis. Thisarticle is done in line with this goal.The reason that chooses the topic of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu", lays in thatit is an ancient civilized book recording person's real words and deedsat that time which reflect current ideas and thoughts. But the Wei-Jin intellectual's behavior approaching the nature and the sincere spiritualexistence in the book are close to the evaluation criteria of the currenthumanist ecology. The full text includesthe introduction, main text threechapters, and the conclusion. The introduction aims for the purpose ofstating the changing path that the ecology evolved to the humanitiesecology, and the related concepts too; Explaining the ecological wisdom isactually one kind of survival wisdom, displaying for the ecology-naturalview, the ecology-ethics values, the ecology-aesthetic standard, At last,stating the feasibility as well as the significance of excavating theecological wisdom in "Shi Shuo Xin Yu".First chapter of main text analyzes the ecological wisdom in thecultural root of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu". First section traces the ecologicalwisdom before Wei Jin period, including analyzing the Myth, Book of Change,Confucian, Tao. In next two sections, I will analyze the ecological wisdomin the cultural root of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu". Second section mainly analyzesthe ecological wisdom in the Wei-Jin metaphysics; Third section focuseson the ecological wsdom in religions, mainly Buddha and Tao. Second chapterlies in through analyzing the text of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu", excavates theecological wisdom behind the human words and deeds. The induction is:Respecting the original and the complete nature, as well as living freelyand frankly;Loving other species ,as well as living emotionally;Feelingthe harmonious beauty, as well as approaching the nature. This chapterdivides three sections to state separately. Third chapter thinks theintellectual in "Shi Shuo Xin Yu", feels ecological harmony in the nature,and pursues the individual ecological harmony in mind, which is "Wei JinFeng Liu", characterized of "True" and "frank".Such harmonious pursuitfor energetic ecology formed with the unique natural ecology, the socialecology, the cultural ecology in that time. Although it is only one kindof idealization and accidental esthetic existence, the harmonious pursuitin mind still helps the Wei-Jin intellectual who fell into the energeticcrisis to obtain a slit room for spiritual breath. Xie An is the best example.
