Staring In Front Of The Mirror

Viewing precedes speech."Staring" reflects the entangled relationship between visual control and power in the society,which means a dominant vision.The gaze "standing in front of the mirror" is my observation of myself.Since ancient times,people have been constantly peering into the mirror to look into themselves.The behavior of gazing in front of the mirror is directly manifested as the exploration and analysis of the self.In painting,the mirror or mirror has been used again and again,which contains different core.This paper starts from the concept of "watching",revolves around this verb,and explores how the "self" in painting is expressed through "mirror image" in combination with art works.This article is divided into five chapters,the first chapter mainly illustrates the concept of "gazing at" the different philosophers to the concept of interpretation and I to the action of doubt,contact to self through "watch" to establish the subjectivity,the establishment of the work also depends on the difference of the background of "watch".Emphasize the importance of seeing in visual art and the importance of expressing oneself in artistic creation.The second chapter elaborates the concept of "gaze" in more detail.Based on Lacan’s exposition of the concept of gaze,I express my superficial understanding of this verb on the shoulders of giants.Then by summarizing the characteristics of female body painting in the "gaze",we can feel the meaning of rights and desires carried in the "gaze".In this chapter,the element of "mirror" is introduced,and the thinking that ideal self is formed by mirror image is proposed.Third chapter revolves around the mirror and mirror,first of all,from the surface of etymology to the Greek mythology gradually into the mirror as a representative of the symbol,it as a reflection light,let people began to observe their own tools and represents what,on the way to explore human self,its importance is self-evident.The fourth chapter is me in my work,on the basis of the collision let these two elements together to form my creative source,in the face of the mirror,viewing behavior is unavoidable,spontaneously when we face the mirror at ourselves,we see how the "I",others and the "I" through the mirror image and scene,shows how I described in this chapter I "mirror gaze" original ideasThe fifth chapter summarizes my creative ideas and some stage works,as well as some manuscripts,explaining my own content that I want to express in my graduation works.
