This article aims to explore how Chinese painting techniques in depicting architectures in creating of the art work "Fairy-Mountain in the Sea".Since the development of painting art,two changes have taken place in aesthetic orientation.One is that the results of scientific research have expanded people’s understanding of space and structure,and the other is that many new and paintable objects have emerged in social development.These two changes have also allowed more choices in the themes and picture effects of Chinese painting creation.The creation of Chinese paintings with modern architecture as the main theme is in the ascendant.There are also many depictions of architecture in the creation of traditional Chinese paintings.In the first half of the twentieth century,China’s political environment has undergone major changes.The New Culture Movement promoted artists to innovate traditional Chinese paintings,and artists have made many explorations in the creation of Chinese paintings based on architecture.In the 21 st century,contemporary architectural themes have attracted the attention of artists,and architectural themes have been integrated into the creation of Chinese paintings.They are based on traditional pen and ink to think about contemporary artistic language painting,grasp the scale,think about the format,and express the charm.This series of research results in artistic creation has given me great enlightenment.Only by basing itself on reality and keeping up with the times can I make my Chinese painting creation based on modern architecture as the subject out of convention.Through the analysis and combing of the architectural works of artists such as Li Tong,Huang Yue,Li Xiaoke,Xiangxiang,I established the spatial schema,pen and ink interest and aesthetic orientation of my artistic creation.The author has studied the inheritance and characteristics of the existing modern buildings in Guangzhou through literature.They are the epitome of an era and carry the yearning for life and development of Guangzhou people.Specific research on how to express modern architecture and explore the space and ink of Chinese painting creation.Finally,through this Chinese painting creation "Fairy-Mountain in the Sea",I tried to make breakthroughs in painting themes,expression patterns,pen and ink language,and material selection.Return to the origin of art,strengthen self-expression,and strive to find a personalized way of expression.Creation is a kind of aesthetic precipitation after long-term thinking,and the continuous deepening between the schema and the accumulation of expressive experience is the correct way to scroll with the times.
