Craftsman is not only the owner of traditional crafts,but also the main force to promote the development and innovation of traditional crafts.Local craftsman groups become the main body of the inheritance of skills with absolute number advantage,and play an important role in promoting the social development of traditional villages.But at present,the academic research on craftsman group is not enough,there are more case studies on intangible cultural heritage inheritors,and less studies on local craftsman groups.At the same time,the development of craftsman group,the owner of craftsman,is also facing the problems of aging inheritance structure and lack of talents.Therefore,we went deep into Shiyan village,Jiajiang County,Sichuan Province to investigate the identity,experience and cultural concept of the group of papermaking craftsmen.In 2006,Jiajiang bamboo paper making technology was listed as one of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage,but at present,the original national and provincial inheritors have died one after another.There are only 10 municipal inheritors in Jiajiang.Shiyan village is a national intangible cultural heritage protection site with 72 processes of bamboo and paper making skills in Jiajiang County.Due to the influence of production organization form and geographical relationship,papermaking craftsmen mostly exist in the form of "group",but there are also problems such as decline of skills,aging of craftsmen,and inability to inherit skills.Therefore,through participation in observation,in-depth interview and text research,the author understands the relationship between skills and craftsmen,skills and villages from the three dimensions of the production,life and ecological culture of the paper craftsmen group in Shiyan Village.In order to restore the scene of group activities,recognize the important role of the main body of skills in the inheritance and innovation of skills,and awaken the public’s attention to the group of paper craftsmen.This paper uses the research methods with anthropology and the theoretical knowledge of "human groups" and "behavioral activities" in sociology to study the craftsman groups and papermaking skills from the perspective of design and interdisciplinary methods.This paper clarifies the process of identity change and construction of traditional paper-making village craftsmen from the historical,cultural and social relations,analyzes the status quo of traditional manual paper-making village craftsmen,and explores the new form of experience relationship and identity extension behind them according to their dynamic evolution process.This paper first combs and expounds the "craftsman group" and the cultural ecology of Shiyan village.Secondly,it discusses the generation,transmission and inheritance of the group of papermaking craftsmen in Shiyan village.Then from the perspective of social background,it analyzes the process of technological change longitudinally,in order to explore the influence of technological development on the identity change of paper craftsmen in Shiyan Village.By selecting the experience of three typical craftsmen in Shiyan village,this paper analyzes the practical dilemma of traditional handmade paper craftsmen in Shiyan village.But the craftsman group’s tenacity and recognition of "paper" and "craftsman" are indelible.Therefore,this paper discusses the texture and extension of the experience of all parties of the paper craftsman group,and deepens the value and significance of the paper craftsman group from three perspectives of the interpreter,the developer and the creator.The concept of "craftsman group" is not only limited to the owners of skills,but also becomes the pronoun of all stakeholders.The change of craftsman group implies the slow change of skills and the change of village cultural ecology.Therefore,the expansion and experience extension of the group of papermaking craftsmen is conducive to the formation of an ecological gathering area for the survival of papermaking skills in Shiyan village,so as to rebuild the inheritance system of papermaking skills and realize the revitalization of the countryside.
