Art is inseparable from the media.With the development of society,the status and role of the media in the development of art has become more and more important.The magazines "Chinese Calligraphy" and "Calligraphy" have made indelible contributions to the development and discourse construction of contemporary seal cutting."Chinese Calligraphy" and "Calligraphy" magazines have witnessed the three periods of the development of contemporary Chinese seal cutting: slow development,recovery and prosperity,and disciplinary development.With the prosperity of exhibition competitions,the presentation of seal carving has changed from niche study and play to public appreciation,showing the tendency of exhibition hall and popularization.The emergence of professional calligraphy and seal cutting journals has enabled the art of seal cutting to be spread on a larger scale,with diversified creative styles and fine art of chapters and methods.In the aspects of seal cutting aesthetics,composition of rules and regulations,artistic language,etc.,a new discourse criterion has been constructed: "Yin Zong Qin and Han","Printing from the book","Printing outside the seal".The dissemination of seal cutting through exhibition halls,periodicals and magazines has changed the traditional exhibition style and communication method of seal cutting,and has promoted the change of the creative concept of seal cutting art with the change of social context.This change is more on the basis of inheriting tradition.Constantly learning from the past and bringing forth the new,innovating and exploring under the creative concept that meets the aesthetic needs of the times,in a diversified atmosphere,maintaining the vitality of the breakthrough and development of seal cutting art.
