Literary geography is a hot research topic in the academic circle. It uses western cultural geography’s discipline theory for reference, take the literature as the research object, and explores the uniqueness of literary creation, literary aesthetic appreciation and literary thought from the perspective of geographical and cultural attributes. This paper takes Hong Liangji’s articles as the research object, takes the relevant theories of literary geography as the theoretical support of the research, extracts and summarizes the main geographical space and geographical elements of Hong Liangji’s articles, and takes this as the entry point to study Hong Liangji’s articles from the perspective of literary geography,in order to find the relationship between Hong Liangji’s articles and geographical space. The paper includes five parts:In chapter one,the author sorts out Hong Liangji’s life and the main geographical space he has experienced in his life, and constructs the relationship between his life experience and geographical space.Hong Liangji was born in Changzhou in the time of Qianlong. He came out second in the highest imperial examination in his middle years, and became a minister in the capital. And then he became a minister of education in Guizhou. He was banished to Xinjiang during the Jiaqing period. These four real geographic space not only was the place where Hong Liang Ji real lived, but also had an important influence on his creation. It had an important influence on his structure of the geographic space and geographical elements.First of all, these Spaces are the real space that Hong Liangji experienced, which provides material for his creation. Many events and landscapes in the article are personally experienced and witnessed by Hong Liangji, which has a strong authenticity.Secondly, these geographical Spaces have influenced Hong Liangji’s works to a certain extent, and his traveling experience in these places has influenced his creation themes and artistic style. The second chapter analyzes the geographical space of watery place represented by Changzhou,Hong Liangji’s hometown.Changzhou is the place where Hong Liangji was born and grew up.The Wuyue culture contained in Changzhou has the most profound influence on Hong Liangji. The geographical space of the watery place constructed by Hong Liangji has three characteristics, the worship of culture and education, the worship of morality and virtue, and the worship of temperament.Under the influence of these three characteristics,Hong Liangji’s works also show the ideological characteristics of profound literature, encouraging people to learn, and highlighting "temperament".In the course of his growth, the Changzhou culture of valuing literature and education, valuing morality and being virtuous, and being still in good character, imperceptibly became his own values and reflected in his works, and even became an important point of view in his literary criticism theory, which had a wide and profound influence on the poetry circle in the period of Qianjia. The third chapter analyzes the geographical space of the imperial capital represented by the Beijing. In the geographical space of the imperial capital, the society presents a sense of being torn apart. On the one hand, the poor people of the lower class have to work hard in order to make a living, and some of them even become ill from overwork. On the other hand, the upper class live a rich and full life.Under the influence of the thought of "cultural governance" in the geographical space of the imperial capital, the Works that reflect reality in Hong Liangji’s works was greatly reduced, and most of them were praise to the emperor, which had a profound impact on the style of his works. The fourth chapter analyzes the geographical space of Southwest China represented by Guizhou. The three years when Hong Liangji served as a minister of education in Guizhou was the key period when the situation in Southwest China turned. At the early stage of Hong Liangji working in Guizhou, the society of Guizhou was relatively stable and the social economy developed steadily.During this period,Hong Liangji’s works were mainly about the marvelous landscapes and unique customs in the geographical space of Southwest China. However, the spirit of Guizhou students who were not willing to lag behind and were brave enough to seek teachers was also deeply affected Hong Liangji. However, the uprising of Miao people broke out at the end of Hong Liangji’s term of office, which prompted Hong Liangji to further examine the social contradictions in Qianjia period,to further mature his political thought, and to profoundly influence his writing of political papers. The fifth chapter analyzes the geographical space of the western region represented by Xinjiang. The geographical space of the Western Regions has dual characteristics. On the one hand, the natural environment of the Western Regions is harsh. The people who are banished here leave his family and struggle for survival in the dangerous natural environment with the pain of not being able to return home in this lifetime, and their eyes are full of bleak color. On the other hand, the vast and magnificent natural scenery of the Western Regions also inspired Hong Liangji, who was immersed in the pain of exile,to get rid of the suffering of his personal situation and examine himself with a more open-minded attitude,so as to achieve a "selfless states".
