Research On Su Peicheng’s Thought Of Language Standardization

Su Peicheng is a well-known contemporary linguist in my country.Since the 1960 s,he has made remarkable achievements in the fields of punctuation,modern Chinese characters,Chinese dictionaries,and Chinese norm history.He has published 22 books,14 collections of essays,and published papers.More than 230 articles have had an important impact on the Chinese life of citizens and have a guiding significance for the modernization of Chinese language.This article takes Su Peicheng’s academic achievements in language standardization as the research object,uses literature analysis,inductive analysis,and oral history to summarize his language standardization ideas,and discusses the theoretical and practical significance of his ideas for Chinese life,the value of the times,and limitation.The thesis is mainly divided into seven parts:The first part,introduction,introduces the reason for the topic selection,research purpose and research significance of this article,and the overall thinking and methods of the thesis research.It summarizes the standardization research on punctuation marks,modern Chinese characters,Chinese dictionaries,and the current research status of Su Peicheng,and combs Su Peicheng’s personal experience and academic research,and points out the innovations of this article.The second part,Su Peicheng’s punctuation standardization thought.The earliest and the largest research time span that Su Peicheng paid attention to was the field of punctuation standardization.This chapter analyzes the research results in this field from the theoretical understanding of punctuation rules and the application and promotion of punctuation rules.The third part is Su Peicheng’s thoughts on standardization of modern Chinese characters.His research on the standardization of modern Chinese characters mainly involves coding,the development of the "General Standard Chinese Character Table",the conversion of traditional and simplified characters,and the evaluation of simplified characters.He analyzes the research results and popularization and application of this field.The fourth part is Su Peicheng’s thoughts on the standardization of dictionaries.From the dictionaries he compiled and research results,analyze the norms of his dictionaries in terms of writing,collecting,checking and using cases.The fifth part is the study of Su Peicheng’s history of Chinese norms.Summarize his understanding of the history of language regulation since the founding of New China,and how he will guide the future work of language regulation.The sixth part summarizes Su Peicheng’s thoughts on language standardization.Through the inductive analysis of the previous article,it is concluded that his language standardization thought is to solve the problems of Chinese life and serve the Chinese life.So how to understand his thoughts? This part specifically analyzes its ideological connotation,combined with the practice of Chinese language and writing,and explores the theoretical and practical significance of Su Peicheng’s language standardization thought,the value of the times and its limitations.The seventh part is the conclusion.
