Wang Guangyang is a politician and poet at the late yuan and early ming.When Zhu Yuanzhang,the Emperor Taizu of Ming,crossed the Yangtze River,Wang Guangyang was called to be the commander of the Marshal’s Office.Then he was promoted to prime minister as well as granted the title of Comte of Loyalty and Diligence and died in the Hu Weiyong Case.Wang Guangyang was a student of YU Que when he was young.He,who is profound and immense in knowledge as well as good at poetry,masters Confucian classics and history.He has pure spirit and classic content in poetry which dispels the excessive exquisiteness habit of poets of Yuan Dynasty and takes lead in pioneering a new genre of poetry as well as writes ten volumes of Feng Chi Yin Gao.Textual Research of Ming Dynasty’s Meritorious Officials’ Title of Nobility takes notes of him:he,who masters Confucian classics and literature,is tolerant and amiable as well as pure and steady,and good at big font of seal and official script,especially do well in poetry.There are not only the writing of his own spiritual world,but also the care of the social reality,with rich content and diverse themes in Wang Guangyang’s poems.This paper investigates the traces of his lifetime and social relations,induces the categories of his poems,explores the characteristics the content of his poetry,try to figure out the status of his poetry in literary world of Ming Dynasty,evaluates his artistic achievements comprehensively through the in-depth research of Wang Guangyang and his poetry collection Chanting Manuscript of Phoenix Pool.The introduction summarizes the research of Wang Guangyang,including the research on his life and official career,the collection of his poems,and the research status of Wang Guangyang and his poetry collection,and generalizes the purpose and significance of this paper.The main body of this paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter makes a detailed research on Wang Guangyang’s life experience,writings and social relations.This chapter first traces the origin of Wang Guangyang’s life and generalizes the editions of his works.Secondly,it mainly combs the thoughts contained in Wang Guangyang’s poems.Wang Guangyang has no special literary theory works,his poems contain distinct thoughts of people-oriented,making contributions and seclusion.Finally,it makes a textual research in situation of his friends and traces,so as to deepen our understanding of Wang Guangyang and his living environment according to his association and journey poems.The second chapter researches the poem content of Wang Guangyang’s Chanting Manuscript of Phoenix Pool.Generally speaking,Wang Guangyang’s poems can be divided into Travel Poems 、 Landscape Poems 、History-Nostalgic Poems、Singing and Presentable poems、Painting Poems and some poems of responding to the system、woman’s poem and so on.The Travel Poems are divided into three different stages of his life: the period of expedition,the period of politics and the period of relegation,in order to explore the different contents of his different life stages.Landscape poems are analyzed from three aspects: his love of the beauty of natural landscapes,yearning for rural scenery and admiration for human landscape.History-Nostalgic Poems are discussed from three aspects: criticizing tyranny and yearning for the harmony between monarchs and officials 、 commenting on historical figures and expressing political opinions 、 recalling the rise and fall of dynasties and discussing the reason of prosperity and decline.Responsory and presenting poems are discussed from two aspects: parting and farewell 、 A complimentary reply and singing in chorus.The Paintings Poems are explained from the proportion of poetic flavour and painting conception etc.This chapter tries to make a more detailed comb and research of Wang Guangyang’s poems.The third chapter discusses the artistic features and value of Chanting Manuscript of Phoenix Pool mainly from its rich and diverse artistic style,distinctive and outstanding artistic characteristics,the value and achievements.First of all,because of his different life stages,Wang Guangyang’s poems have different styles of openness、freshness、heroics、elegance and dignity.Secondly,it summarizes the artistic features of Wang’s poetry,such as good at use of allusions and narrative and the integration of poetry and painting,also analyzes and summarizes the literary value and historical achievements of Chanting Manuscript of Phoenix Pool.The conclusion affirms Wang Guangyang’s achievements in the aspects of politics and literature.A chronology of Wang Guangyang is attached in the appendix.
