Feng Shan,a scholar in the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty,wrote 274 poems with the characteristics of the times.This paper will analyze Feng Shan and his poems through three parts: his life,his thoughts,his poems and his artistic features.The first chapter describes Feng Shan’s life and thoughts.This chapter will learn about Feng Shan’s life from different documents.Feng Shan was an official of the court in the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty.He had some contacts with other officials,from which we can know his character.It can be seen from Feng Shan’s poems of singing and harmony that Feng Shan has a wide range of friends and contacts with fan Zhen,fan Bailu,Pu zongmeng,Deng Runfu,We n Tong,Xu Shidan,etc.,and the content of poetry conversation is rich.From the poems,we can learn about Feng Shan’s friendship.Feng Shan’s thought has the characteristics of the times,which is influenced by Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.It can be seen from Feng Shan’s poems that his thoughts are mainly Confucianism’s joining the society,actively joining the society and striving for fame.Feng’s poems also reflect that his thoughts are influenced b y Taoism,and many of his poems express his intention of seclusion,but as a whole,he still mainly joins the society,and compared with Confucianism and Taoism,Feng Shan is not influenced b y Buddhism And the expression in poetry is not obvious.The second chapter discusses the ideological content of Feng Shan’s poetry.There are 274 poems of Feng Shan according to the whole song poetry co mpiled by the Institute of ancient literature,Peking University.According to the content of his poems,Feng’s poems are divided into five categories: the first one is to write poems about scenery and travel,which mostly describe the natural scenery and express the poet’s love for nature.The description of scenery in Feng’s poems has a kind of quiet and elegant feeling.Because Feng Shan has been in official Shu for a long time,his poems also depict the scenery in Shu and show the customs of Shu.The second kind is the poetry of farewell reward,which is rich in content.It includes not only the content of singing with friends,greeting each other,chatting about small things in life,but also the content of saying goodbye to friends,expressing the feel ing of not giving up and the meaning of consolation,as well as the works sent by Feng Shan and his colleagues in the officialdom,which mostly express the appreciation and expectation of each other as an official.The third kind is to chant history and cherish ancient poetry.When Feng Shan is traveling in the historic sites,he regrets the past and the present and expresses his memory for the sages.The fourth category is concerned about people’s livelihood poetry,w hich describes the living conditions of the people at the bottom,and Feng Shan’s feelings and thoughts about it.The fifth category,other poems,poetry more lyrical,more expression of the poet’s inner feelings.The third chapter discusses the artistic characteristics of Feng Shan’s poetry.F eng Shan’s poems are various in style,especially good at rhythm.His poems have five laws,seven laws and arrangement laws.They are rich in content and express the poet’s inner feelings.At the same time,they also have more descriptions of scenery.The poems are full of charm.Feng Shan’s poems are good at using various rhetorical techniques,such as allusion,personification,metaphor,exaggeration,contrast and reiteration.Feng’s poems are mixed in emotion and scenery,with profound artistic conceptio n,w hich is often found in Feng’s poems There is a description of natural scenery,and their own emotions are integrated into it,the external scenery and the inner emotion are integrated,which makes the poetic mood far-reaching,but also makes the emotio nal expression of poetry more full;Feng’s poetry style is plain and straight,w hich is mainly reflected in the description of natural scenery in poetry,and mostly selects natural plain,fresh and elegant scenery for description.The elegance of poetry is reflected in its poetic conception,w hich is elegant and upright.The Changda of Feng’s poems is mostly reflected in his description of the scenery of Shu,which fully displays the beauty of the scenery of Shu,and at the same time shows the poet’s peaceful and Changda inner world.Because Feng Shan was in the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty,the influence of Xikun style gradually disappeared in the poetry circle at that time,and the poetry of Song Dynasty began to develop to the plain style of poetry,so Feng’s poems tend to be plain and natural,similar to Shengyu’s. |
