Vandana Shiva,as an important representative of the third world Ecofeminism, her theory and views are mostly derived from her own experience and practice. As a native Indian,Her "practice-oriented" thinking is not only reflected in her refusal to copy the development model of Western Ecological Feminism, but also in the practical activities which she has advocated and participated in.Shiva fully grasped the main characteristics and needs of local women and used women‘s innate dependence on nature to encourage women to work hard for themselves and the ecology.Among them, the “Hug Tree Movement” and "Nine Seeds" foundations have made With remarkable achievements, women have gained a glimmer of hope for themselves and the ecology through their own efforts. The successful case of Shiva not only has a certain reference value for China, which is in the development stage, but also provides a new solution to the ecological and female problems of all countries in the Third World. This article mainly includes four parts:Part 1.Introduction.The first part will introduce Shiva’s life, life background and related achievements, and then briefly introduces Shiva’s "practice" approach to ecological issues. The second part introduces the necessity of solving ecological problems through the current severe situation of the world’s ecological and environmental problems and the significance of the current research on Shiva’s emphasis on ecological feminism.Part 2: The origin of Vandana Shiva’s "practice" features. This part is based on the facts of the development of Ecofeminism that is more theoretical than practical.Ecofeminism,as the only school that combines "ecology" with "female" has largely mobilized another major human participant —women, which provide an opportunity for ecological issues and women’s liberation at the same time. However, based on the current development speed of environmental issues, the theoretical impact of Ecofeminism is far from enough. If we want to break through this dilemma,we can only obtain new improvements through strengthening "practice." At the same time,Vandana Shiva, one of the important representatives of Ecofeminism, once expressed in the Ecofeminism which was co-authored with Maria Mills in 1993 that women in the third world are experiencing severe capitalist "patriarchal" exploitation and Oppression, and pointed out that the current priority of Ecofeminism is to liberate women and take a development path that suits India’s national conditions. This section will study the general fate, social status, and basic aspirations of women in the "third world",and explores the ideological roots of Shiva’s "practice" features.Part 3: Shiva’s "practical" behavior. This part mainly will be discussed through three aspects.First,Shiva mentioned in The Stolen Harvest that "food is our most basic need and is the basis of life." Therefore, protecting the purity and inheritance of seeds has very important practical significance for saving agricultural production and preserving the complete ecological environment and agricultural civilization.Secondly, based on a large number of cases of ecological protection which Shiva participated in,the specific analysis of the "Chipko Movement" and the "Navdanya" Foundation are conducted. The former uses a non-violent form which is a innovation of a method, and the latter act by getting rid of the control of genetic engineering,it provides a path for the continuation and inheritance of seeds. Both are Shiva’s major breakthroughs in practice. Finally, this part will summarize the practical activities in which Shiva participated or initiated.Based on the previous part,I will briefly summarize other practical behaviors,so as to summarize all the efforts made by Shiva in practice.Part 4:The specific results and influence of Shiva’s "re-practice" behavior.Shiva ’s “practice” approach seems to be the most visible among all other Ecofeminist schools, not only directly protecting forest resources and biodiversity, but also allowing the bottom women to gain political confidence and participation Political opportunities. This part is based on the theoretical basis of Shiva’s practice:“The first world economic development model is essentially violence against the environment and women. If you want to liberate women and protect the environment to achieve sustainable development, you must take the road of practice and innovation, which is suitable for India’s national conditions "The way" and the results and impact of specific practical behaviors, while affirming its positive impact, analyze the limitations of attending this solution: First, the main participants in practice are women, and male participation is not high.2.The vision is too idealistic and ignores the fact that India,as a developing country, needs to develop vigorously.3.Lack of a complete theoretical system.4.Lack of communication and cooperation with the government. These limitations are precisely due to the fact that Shiva attaches great importance to the practicality of the experience level and lacks theoretical defects and sublimation. How to avoid this theoretical lack and sublimation is also our last urgent problem.
